ABOUT US
Blackheath Wanderers Sports Club was first established in 1886 and was founded by the choir from St Paul's Church, Deptford, forming the first football team on Blackheath Common. Throughout the 1920s the club called New Eltham home until we moved to our current site in Lee in 1947.
Once our base was truly established, the club developed into having netball, tennis, cricket and bowls all available at the club!
The modern day club now consists of junior and senior football, netball and tennis, which are affiliated to a number of regional associations. Our members span a wide range of ages, from our junior football players to our more senior club members.
We have an increasingly vibrant social membership who come down to the club to have a few drinks at club events, or take in some sport, be it out on our ground, or on our big screen in the clubhouse.
Our clubs adult safeguarding policy can be found here.
