The Club Story
Few clubs in South East London can claim a history as rich as ours. Founded in 1886 by the choir of St Paul's Church, Deptford, Blackheath Wanderers began life as a football club on Blackheath Common and we've been part of this community ever since.

Through the 1920s we called New Eltham home, before settling at our current ground in Lee in 1947. Over the decades the club grew beyond football, adding netball, tennis, cricket and more building a genuine multi-sport community that welcomes players of every age and ability.

Today, Blackheath Wanderers is home to seven junior football teams, a veterans Saturday league side, two competitive netball teams, a tennis society, and a growing cricket section. Our fully licensed clubhouse holds up to 150 people and sits at the heart of everything we do from match days to music nights, family parties to corporate events.

We are proudly grassroots, fiercely community-focused, and always looking for new members to be part of our story.
