COVID-19 Statement

Following the recent Government announcements aimed at tackling the spread of the Coronavirus and the specific recommendation that people should avoid pubs and clubs, it is with a heavy heart that the BWSC GMC have taken the decision to close the Clubhouse from 20 March 2020 until it is deemed safe to re-open.

The bar will be closed and all social events planned for this Spring together with the Club AGM have also been postponed until further notice.

All football, cricket and netball matches and practice sessions will be postponed until further notice. At this point, tennis sessions will continue, subject to following the LTA’s current guidelines which can be found at www.lta.org.uk/about-us/tennis-news/news-and-opinion/general-news/2020/march/coronavirus-covid-19---latest-advice/

Whilst this is a very difficult decision, the safety of our staff, members and customers are paramount at this most difficult time.

BWSC thank you for your continued support of the Club during these uncertain times.

We will keep you updated on social media as the situation evolves but for now, please take care of yourselves, and we’ll see you again when this is over.

Kind regards,

Ian Harjette
